Once upon a time (what kind of talk is that) I was a girl who believed in fairytales but envisioned them in a "monstrous fashion" because my mind was just that twisted. Once upon a favorite TV show, I read two books a day and sang in the shower like I was on Broadway. I lived where book ashes fell like white snowflakes and bushes were composed of brightly colored butterflies. Where a photo spoke more than a thousand words and paint brushes held the power as much as a fountain pen did. Where the typewriter was the weapon of choice and my cronies were my pals in crime. Once upon a time I lived like I was dying and I laughed like no one's business. Once upon a time, how strange are those four words.
